I want to thank all of Billy's fans who came and said hello to me. I will be doing more dates with him this year. It was also great seeing all the guys in the band and the crew. I look forward to being back out with Billy and also meeting all of you. Make sure you come and say hello. |

Hello Folks,
Preacher Jack has been nominated for "Best Roots Act" in the 2008 Boston Phoenix Music Poll!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess the good folks at the Phoenix were duly impressed with his Cow Island Music debut "Picture’s From Life’s Other Side" and consider the Boston Boogie Woogie Piano Man a worthy candidate.
He goes up against some HEAVY hitters; Duke Levine, Session Americana, Lori McKenna, Sarah Borges!!!
These folks are some of Boston's finest!!!
We need YOUR help - IF you feel so inclined we NEED for you to take (less than 5 minutes), follow the link provided, and vote for Jack.
Pls tell a friend....
The performers he is going up against are monsters in the Boston scene and will surely have their fans voting so pls vote for Jack.
Thank you!!

Howdy Friends,
The time has come; Preacher Jack's long awaited Cow Island Music debut is ready to roll!
Jack and friends will be celebrating this new release, Pictures From Life's Other Side, at a CD release party at the Plough & Stars in Cambridge this Saturday night, November 17th at 10:00 pm. Joining Jack will be Cow Island label mates Nate Gibson and the Gashouse Gang.
Jack's new CD includes all previously unreleased recordings that feature Jack and his piano pumping out some of the most passionate performances ever recorded of these country, gospel and rockabilly favorites. Jack recorded these tracks at two different sessions, the first in November of 1982 at the home studio of ace electronics wizard Mr. Richard Burwen and the second on, what would have been Hank Williams' 73rd birthday, September 17, 1996. Jack really lays it on the line on these recordings.
So come on out and celebrate the genius of a true original of American Music, the man who has put his heart and soul into entertaining us for the past forty years, the "Boston Boogie Woogie Piano Man", John Lincoln Coughlin aka Preacher Jack.
You can hear some songs from Pictures From Life's Other Side at the Cow Island myspace page. CD's will be available for purchase at the show and at CD Baby within the next two weeks. Also, check out the Cow Island Website. | |

Hope to see you Saturday night!

Hello Folks,
In anticipation of Preacher Jacks long awaited release "Pictures From Life's Other Side" on Cow Island Music (www.myspace.com/cowislandmusic) I thought I'd send along this YouTube clip of vintage Preacher Jack - circa 1983 this was filmed at Sandy's Jazz and Blues Revival in Beverly MA by (George) Ferrini Productions and features Rockin George Leh on vocals and a young Jerry "The Rev" Parquette on guitar - (for those that have seen it - my apologies - for all else a splendid time is guaranteed) - enjoy:

| I just want to let everyone know that I'm still out with Rodney Atkins. www.rodneyatkins.com I want to congratulate him for receiving the best new male vocal award at the ACM's last week. I also want to congratulate Little Big Town www.littlebigtown.com for their award for the best new vocal group. I've gotten to know everyone in the group including the crew and they are the nicest folks. If you have never seen Little Big Town you're missing a great show. Their vocals and harmonies are superb. Martina McBride www.martinamcbride.com is headlining the tour and I can't believe how wonderful her vocals are. She amazes me everytime I hear her perform. Her vocals are so strong and powerful. The whole tour is going great and everybody in all the camps are so wonderful. |
